Fahren LED products have been designed to be a safe, universal replacement for automotive applications. Current automotive federal law prohibits replacing halogen lamps with LEDs for low and high beam headlight applications. We currently support the use of LED replacement bulbs in automotive fog light applications.

While most LED bulbs maintain the same size as original halogens, some high-performance bulbs feature a built-in cooling fan for better heat dissipation. This fan may:

• Extend slightly beyond standard bulb dimensions
• Require additional clearance space in certain vehicle models

This common issue occurs due to differences between LED and halogen bulb electrical properties:

Your LED bulbs may stop working due to:

1. Power instability - Install a CANbus decoder to regulate voltage
2. Overheating protection - Ensure proper ventilation around bulbs and avoid continuous extended use

There are two common reasons for this issue:

1. Power Supply Issues - LED bulbs require stable voltage. Unstable power or short circuits may cause sudden failure. Solution: Install a CANbus decoder to regulate power.
2. Overheat Protection - Many LEDs have safety shutoff when temperatures get too high. This happens if:
   Bulbs lack proper ventilation
   Installed in tight spaces
   Used continuously for long periods
   Solution: Ensure adequate cooling space and take breaks during extended use.

Our vehicle's computer is programmed to detect traditional halogen bulbs and may mistake LED bulbs for failed bulbs since they use different electrical signals. Installing a SYLVANIA Load Equalizer will resolve this by making the LEDs appear like halogens to your car's system.
